Samantha Widmer was selected Miss Earth Cayman Islands 2010 at a private luncheon in Grand Cayman Beach Suites hosted by N’Vogue Productions, the Miss Earth license holder on September 22th. Samantha Widmer is 23 year old and she will represent Cayman Islands in the Miss Earth pageant in Vietnam, on 4 December, 2010.

Miss Widmer was selected by the directors of N’Vogue Productions/Miss Earth Cayman Islands committee and was formally presented on 28 August at the Grand Cayman Beach Suites. Miss Earth Cayman Islands 2006, Stephanie Espeut, introduced the 2010 winner. Miss Widmer is a senior accountant at Ernst & Young. She earned her undergraduate degree majoring in accounting at Elon University in North Carolina and is making preparations to take the CPA exams. An avid sportswoman, Miss Widmer won the Caribbean Amateur Golf Championships in July, was a bronze medallist at the Island Games in Finland in 2009 as a member of the Cayman National Golf Team, and is a seasoned diver.

She will represent Cayman Islands in the Miss Earth pageant in Vietnam, on 4 December, 2010

Nadine Alexandra Dewi Ames was crowned Puteri Indonesia 2010 on October 8th in Jarkarta. Nadine is 19 year old and stands 1.70 m. She will represent Indonesia in Miss Universe 2011. The first runner-up is Raisa Kartikasari. She will go to Miss International 2011. Reisa Kartikasari is 24 year old and stands 1.71 m. The second runner-up is Alessandra Khadijas Usman, Miss Gorontalo.

Nadine is 19 year old and stands 1.70 m.

Nadine will represent Indonesia in Miss Universe 2011.

JAKARTA - 33 candidates competed for the title Miss Indonesia 2010 at the Ballroom of Central Park Mall in Jakarta, and the chosen one was Asyifa Syafiningdyah Putrambami Latif (C) from West Java. She was crowned by Miss Indonesia 2009 (R) and by the current Miss World, Gibraltar's Kaiane Aldorino (L).

The runner-ups were Clarashinta Arumdani from Yogjakarta Second (1st), and Kartika Kusumaningtyas from East Java (2nd).

Débora Moura Lyra, a student of journalism from Divinopolis, Minas Gerais, was crowned Miss Brazil Universe 2010 this May 8th in Sao Paulo. Débora, a 20-year old professional model, stands 1.80 m in height and will compete at the Miss Universe 2010 pageant later in the year.

The 1st runner-up was 18-year old Miss Amazonas, Lilian Lopes Pereira. The 1.75 m beauty will represent Brazil at the Miss International 2010 contest in Chengdu, China, in October.

The 2nd runner-up was Miss Parana, Maryla Bernardt, who will compete at the Miss Continente Americano pageant in Ecuador, next September.

5/11 - Thuanny Rodrigues Ferreira, Miss Global Teen Brazil, will welcome the world in her country

Thuanny Rodrigues Ferreira, a 16-year-old from the city of Rio de Janeiro, was chosen to represent Brazil in Miss Global Teen 2010. Crowned Miss Teen Rio de Janeiro last November on a cruise ship, the 1.70-m-tall model knows that her responsibility now is much bigger:

"I am very honored to be the first Miss Global Teen Brazil and to represent my country at home. It will be great to welcome girls from all over the world in my own country. I hope they take home the best memories and impressions from Brazil", she said.

Thuanny describes herself as a very outgoing person, who enjoys spending time with her friends, listening to music, dancing, and walking the runways.

Her goal is to graduate from high school in 2011 and be admitted by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

"I want to go to college and graduate as soon as possible to be a great professional and an independent woman", commented the Brazilian teen queen.

Thuanny will be officially crowned by Ivaldo Ximenes, her agent and director, on May 20, during her birthday party.

"Can you imagine that?? I am very excited and can barely wait for my birthday!", she complemented with joy.

Miss Brazil and several other international teenagers will compete on July 3, in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, for the title of Miss Global Teen 2010.

CARACAS - Kathryn Gonzalez, 17, from the city of Valencia, is the first Miss Global Teen Venezuela, chosen in a casting organized by Alexander Gonzales, pageant coach who has prepared several candidates to compete in Miss World and Miss Universe (including Amelia Vega, Miss Universe 2003).

Kathryn, who in the near future will go to college to study Communications, is excited about traveling to Brazil, a country she always wanted to visit. She believes it will be a great opportunity to make new friends and to have a place to stay in different countries of the world.
